Purchased package and took to St Croix Virgin Islands a few days later. Took over a thousand pics and one hundred videos in all kind of conditions and camera worked great. Used it while ATVing, sailing, horseback riding, beach and snorkeling where it got muddy, sandy, wet, covered in suntan lotion and submerged for 7 or 8 hours down to 25 ft rinsed it off and it was good to go. Easy to use with lots of different settings but I mainly used auto and underwater. Got lots of compliments. Loved the sixteen gig card, card reader, extra battery and life jacket. Get a wall or car charger (we bought another accessory pack on Amazon that had these). Highly recommend and would buy again. Beach Camera had fast shipping and package was exactly as promised.

I shopped the Olympus underwater 8010 for over a month and the package deal I got from Amazon was a bargain. This camera without accessories runs $330.00 to 379.00 at most retailers. I think I paid about $325.00 for the camera, floating strap, case, extra battery, charger, and 16gb card. My son and daughter got scuba certified and found it easy to carry along on their dives as they didn't have to deal with underwater housing and greasing "O" rings. Although this camera is rated to be waterproof to a depth of 33 ft they took it to approx 40 ft without any problems. We rinsed the camera each day in fresh water just to make sure no salt crystals were left on it. Another reason I purchase this camera is that Olympus makes an underwater housing for this model so a person could use this camera to a depth of around 180 ft. This camera worked well under water. It is easy to use. Battery seems to be depleted very quickly.
